Your Courage will not go Unnoticed

[Please consider funding this project at Indiegogo.]

A number of my paintings are being animated into a 1 minute film about the missing and murdered Aboriginal women.

Short Summary

My name is Angela Sterritt, I am an artist and journalist. My father is Gitxsan from Gitanmaax, and my mother was from Newfoundland.

I am part of a group of 4 filmmakers creating a one minute film about the murdered and missing Aboriginal women in Canada.

This has been a dream come true for me as someone who has always done what I can to use my skills to get those under- covered stories about Aboriginal people out there..in hopes of creating some small change in our world.

Now my large acrylic paintings are, as we speak, being transformed into an animation film that will go on LCD screens in English malls in Canada and on LCD screens on the Toronto transit system.

I’ve got limited funds to pay my animator and he is dedicated to this project and doing a fantastic job.

I’m asking you to help keep this project going by contributing to my animator who needs to somehow get by and live while creating this beautiful tribute to our Aboriginal sisters.

By contributing to this this project you are helping create a positive image of Aboriginal women and our value to society as well as drawing attention to the issue of murdered and missing Aboriginal women.

I am looking for 3000 dollars that will all go to the animation effort.

Not only will you contribute to this amazing cause but I will also give you a print of my work, to thank you for your contribution.

Every penny will go towards the animator to make this film beautiful and help the millions of people who will view it give Aboriginal women the resepct and honor they deserve.
